Mt Agony Road into the park was sealed with quite a few big pot holes to navigate. We booked site 37 which was a large site that allowed us to stay hitched up.
There were loads of wildlife that visited us and kept us entertained, we had many Eastern Grey Kangaroos and Swamp Wallabies. Some were skittish but some were ready for a chat.
There are a total of 59 sites here and some are powered. There is no mobile phone service but there is a Telstra pay phone nearby. The park had great facilities, you can have a fire in the fire pits, BYO firewood as there is no collecting it in the park or having a fire on the ground. Make sure you have booked your site before arrival.
There are many walks to undertake unfortunately, some were closed for maintenance whilst we were there.
The rock platform walk was a great way to see all the rock pools and little creatures that live within them. This walk can only be done during low tide.
There is a walk up high above the beach around the village that allows you some really gorgeous views of the beaches below.
We made it a challenge to see how many times a day to go up and down these stairs to the beach.
Our long beach walks were beautiful and allowed us to just unwind and reconnect.
You can fish, swim or snorkel in the ocean but whilst we were there, it was drizzly with rain, windy, cold, rough seas and quite foggy but you can’t pick the weather. There were many of these blue jelly fish things washed up on the beach. They have long blue tentacles. I am assuming they are bluebottles but I’m someone will be able to tell me what they are. Please leave me a comment on what they are.
