Once in Darwin we stayed at the Hidden Valley Caravan Park for four nights as we had some business to attend to in Darwin. This turned out to be a great choice as it has great facilities and is extremely clean. I am loving the air conditioned bathrooms (call me soft, I know)

The Yacht Club at Fannie Bay is always worth a visit for lunch, dinner  or just watching the sun going down. This is one of our favorite places in Darwin to spend a casual evening.

Today was my birthday and Chris spoiled me today. After my cooked breakfast we headed into Darwin Harbour for some lunch and a walk around. We spent an afternoon in the new Harbour Precinct which is incredibly modern with many cafes, pubs and attractions. We took a few photos to show the area.

We found this excellent play equipment on the water. There were some very game people.

We then headed off to Stokes wharf to board our 50ft catamaran on a champagne, dinner sunset cruise. We chose ‘Sail Darwin’ and was not disappointed. The boat is licensed for 30 people but were for fortunate that there were only 16 people onboard. Such an intimate evening. Champagne and food was flowing all night. The crew did a marvelous job and the food was very tasty.

Our sunset was pretty awesome as well.

Our last night in Darwin was spent at the Mindle Beach Markets. Always a favourite of mine, just love the atmosphere here and everyone is so happy with lots of families enjoying some food, watching the sunset and entertainment. Plus there is always a bargain to be had in the stalls.

Along with everyone else we sat on the beach with our food and watched the sunset. As always, as it sets, everyone claps and cheers to the end of the day.

We then watched some flame twirling people who were very clever.
